New Toy: Anchor

I keep flirting with the idea of setting up a podcast to go with my blogs.
My earlier experiments received some very positive feedback but where really too time consuming: writing, recording, re-recording, producing… writing textual posts is way faster.

Selection_999(009)But I have not renounced, and right now I’ve set my sights on a new service called Anchor, that allows one to use the smartphone to record, edit and upload soundbites, short podcasts, interviews and other things.
Just what I need, right?

I’ve been trying to find a user’s handbook, so far without any luck (but hey, I’ve been studying the thing all of half an hour right now… gimme a little more time).
But I’ll keep looking and experimenting.
It would be fun, to make my voice heard again.
Well, fun for me, at least.

Something short and sweet – ten minutes episodes.
About what? Ah, nice question.
But first, the tech side.
One way or another, things will happen. Watch this space.

Season’s greetings

The hardest bit of the End of the Year post is finding a picture too go with it, or a music video, or something.

The content is easy – this year easier than the last.
It’s just a big THANK YOU to all my readers.

2018 approaches.
The sixth year of Karavansara.
We’ll do stuff.
But in the meantime, HAPPY NEW YEAR.

And here’s a song that’s fifty years old. Wrong city, but a stunning voice…

A Jack Vettriano Gallery

I like Jack Vettriano’s art a lot.
Probably because it reminds me of the atmospheres of old pulp stories, and the style of certain old paperback covers. And I mean that as a compliment.
A self-taught former miner from Scotland, Vettriano is now one of the highest paid artists in the field.
I love a painting of his, called The Road to Nowhere.
It’s this…

So here’s a gallery of some of my faves from this wonderful painter.
(as usual, click on an image to see it enlarged)
Enjoy!
