The return of “Pizza, Chinese or Kebab?”

mod-pizza-maddy-default-e1479167621575I am always looking for new directions in which to expand the offer of this blog, and the Autumn is the perfect time for experimenting.
So here’s one of the many things cooking.

Two years back on my Italian-language blog I did a thing called Pizza, Chinese or Kebab? – it was a series of very informal interviews with creators (writers, graphical artists, bloggers), trying to move away from the typical, and boring

“my, you’re so cool/what’s your inspiration?/what’s your next project?”

sort of interview.
I stole the format from Empire magazine’s interview page How much is a pint of milk?, and adapted it to the crowd I usually hang out with online.
873534The idea was, we sit down at a table, order some take-away and just chat – eleven off-beat questions and “carte blanche”.
All done in low-tech, old-style fashion: I’d send a list of questions to the intended victims, and they’s just post me their replies.
Nice and smooth.
The intent was to show how cool we are, not tell people about it.
My guests got asked questions like “Alice Cooper got better with age: true or false?” or “What’s the most embarrassing DVD in your collection?”, or again, “What’s the worst piece of advice you ever got.”
c700x420People liked it a lot, and remarked that they were learning interesting stuff about people they knew, and discovering people they had not known before.
I had to stop the series after my father’s death, and we went through a very rough time.
But now I’d like to reprise it, and do it on my English-language blog.
That is, here.

I’ve got a list of prospect guests and I’m looking for a format, and possibly a cool logo.
Then I’ll send invitations, and should anyone accept, we’ll begin.
It would be great to have the first interviews up in October.

And who knows, should the thing really work, we might turn it into a podcast.

So, what do you think?
Ideas, opinions, suggestions?
Please help me, and speak your mind in the comments.
