Today’s post is to let the world know about the launch of the Official Aculeo & Amunet Website, a small thing that went live last night.
There’s a lot of good stuff going on with the series – which as you may know is also known as Peripheries of the Ancient World – and it was high time for Aculeo & Amunet to break free of Karavansara.
I’ll keep posting about my writing and my characters here, but the main action, for the series, will take place on the official website. Continue reading
Having mentioned tarots in a previous post… why not use one as a prompt?

I can’t find my tarot deck anymore – it’s here somewhere, but ever since I moved to the country, I’ve been unable to find it.
Misplaced, not lost.
I had an interest in the subject, in cards and divination and so on, as a kid – what with dabbling in stage magic and reading the Tarot books by Piers Anthony.
I got my tarot deck as a joke, in the mid-80s.

With time I learned how to read the cards, and I read some good books on the subject (Alejandro Jodorowski!), and so on.
Now, let me get this straight
Do you believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?
My answer, Janine, is No.

Names names names…
There’s much going on right now with my Aculeo & Amunet stories.
Both Bride of the Swamp God and Lair of the White Ape have gathered some good reviews, and there’s more stories coming, and much else.
What started as a good idea – to me, at least – and two characters I like very much, is about to get bigger, and hopefully better.
So now I’m dreaming up a name for my series.
Granted, I’ll always refer to my stories as the “Aculeo & Amunet Stories” – they are after all character-driven stories, and those are the characters driving them.
They are good characters, and I like them a lot, and I like the alliteration.
A&A – nice and smooth.
And yet…
Some old time radio for this spring day – a radio adaptation of Marco Polo’s Il Milione, as “The Adventures of Marco Polo”, from the 1950s.
