Ahh, yes. Those merry, antic spirits John Steed and Emma Peel. A light-hearted series with a lot of class, like the stars. Seems as though nothing’s classy any more, they way it sometimes was in the ‘sixties. Even the Profumo scandal had more class, as I remember, than sex-and-politics scandals these days. Maybe it’s just my nostalgia talking.

My nostalgia too.
I grew up with the Avengers, they were the first TV series I actively followed. This and Scooby Doo.
And when I write, I still like to write about adventuring couples like Steed and Peel. Try and emulate that wonderful dynamic.
