I hope you don’t mind if I wax philosophical for a moment.
Here on the side is one of those memes1.
I fully subscribe the idea – I’ve been told an awful number of times that I would not make it, whatever it was I was doing.
And I proved them wrong.
An example?
The English teacher that on the first day, in high school, told me I would never learn English, never speak it, never understand it.
I thought about her a lot while I was living and studying in London.
So yes – I often feel like quitting, but then I remember the people out there waiting for me to quit, and start cheering.
And before you say paranoid, believe me, I’ve been there, and heard the cheers.
But there’s another side to the whole matter.
Because sometimes quitting is the right thing to do, and pride – or just plain being contrarian – can be the gateway to disaster, unhappiness, gloom.
So, yes, shut up the motherf*ckers.
Do it, every day of the week.
But also, remember sometimes quitting is the only way to make it.
Sometimes walking away is good.
We should train ourselves to recognize when holding on for pride’s sake is costing us our life.
And screw the haters – they are gonna hate anyway.
- why do they call ’em memes? Oh, I already told you the name baffles me… ↩

I don’t know if there’s something in the air, maybe the autumn approaching makes us a little gloomy, but I’ve been feeling the same these days.
And yet here we are, speaking and writing in another language 😀
I’m one of the crazy people who are trying to create things by messing up the English language, and if there’s a special place in Hell for that, maybe we’ll meet there someday. I hope there’s a grill where to fry all the haters 😀
You know, I’ve been following your blogs for a while and never commented before, I think. So… howdy ^_^
