I have just signed a contract for my story Sapiens, that just as I had announced a few days back, will be featured in a magazine later this year. The magazine is called Dreamforge, and it’s my sort of thing.
And, also, is now on Kickstarter.

What I like about Dreamforge is their focusing on the positive. While I like dystopias just as the next guy, I really feel the need for something positive and optimistic. Which does not mean a problem-free world, but a world in which problems can be solved.
Checking out the Kickstarter page, you can appreciate not only the graphical quality of the magazine, but also the line-up of artists and writers.
Cue to me screaming
Oh my goodness, I’m gonna be published in the same magazine with Steven Brust!

But Steven Brust’s story – co-written with Skyler White – will be in Issue 1, and mine will be in Issue 2.
There’s other great people in Issue 1 -check out the list on the Kickstarter page.
So, my suggestion is you back the project – it’s not that expensive (considering the lot of stuff you get), they have some incredible perks, and there will be more issues to come, and more stories to read – 50 or 60 stories per year, based on the editor’s program.

Oh man!! Imagine being published in the same mag as Brust! His Jhereg series is brilliant (I kinda have a crush on Vlad). Wow, wow, wow. Impressed.

I love the Jehreg series too – and I’m really proud of being in the same mag with Sthephen Brust (well, same mag, different issue).
