And so, having delivered my manuscript to the editor, and having spent a long weekend basically reading, eating and sleeping – not necessarily in that order – I am ready to start working on the next project.
Or am I?
Right now, there’s a full plate of stuff to do for my game writing job – books to author or co-author, stuff to be researched, plans to be made.
This is not much a matter of inspiration – the projects are more or less solid – but of scheduling the work to be done and then stick to the timeline.
Writing fiction.
While a pair of projects are still floating, I’d like to go back to my old self-publishing gig – I miss the freedom of doing basically what I like, the way I like it, and then take all the risks this involves.
And for all the ideas, outlined stories and what else, my lazy weekend brought to me more ideas – which is good, up to a point.
When you get too many ideas and viable projects, in the end you get stuck exactly like when you have no idea at all.
But we’ll see.
I also keep receiving requests about future stories in Italian.
My interest in that direction remains minimal, and yet… who knows.
It might be interesting trying to do a bilingual edition – publishing the same story in both Italian and English, like I did with Tyrannosaurus Tex.
Might be a fun experiment.
As I said, we’ll see.
