As if I had not enough already on my plate, compounded with a general lack of energies and a devastating lack of sleep, I’ve thought it would be good to use internet for something more than squalid self promotion and for mindless entertainment.
Like, there’s people out there that are having a real bad time – much worse than mine – dealing with the lockdown and its consequences.
Kids that used to meet their friends in preschool.
Singles holed up in a one-room apartment somewhere in suburbia.
People that have no one to talk to.
What could I do?
I am basically a writer and a teacher.
What could I provide for the community?
Any ideas?
Write them in the comments.

Maybe you can create a mini-show, like a Youtube video, about science, or a mini-dossier: something about curious facts, exposed in a comedic way, ma correct.
I don’t know all of your skills nor what tools you have, but I think about something like a simple experiment that end in a “dramatic” way, like an evident change of color, some mathematical trick, an exposition of a strange stone or fossil (and maybe a tweet-like tale about it) or a tutorial about creating a modern treasure map…
Sometimes, the problem with text books is that them express facts in a boring way, maybe correct, but heavy. With a comedy approach (or the promise to made simpler the study with an easy trick) maybe you can create something in your comfort zone – science, tales – that can be useful for someone, like bored children or even curious adults.
Maybe can be complicated, but out of the blue, it’s the only thing I can think š

acting as master for a roll20 session won’t be a bad idea…(IMHO)

I am currently keeping a game for a local team, and I’ll do some mastering in two forcoming online events.
And I could possibly do more, web-connection permitting.

Why don’t you volunteer for bringing food and other supplies to old people’s home? It is good to have a pause from the PC, and it’s good to have a bit of uman touch too.

Because I don’t have a car.
And I live in the middle of nowhere.
