Christmas Idleness

This is the Christmas week, and Karavansara will slow down a bit – we’ll stick to schedule, with little variations or extras.

All things considered, I’m pretty tired, and I’ll take the opportunity to shut down all unnecessary systems, lay low, and try to recharge my batteries.

So, as for the next ten days, I will…

I’ve a big stack of unread books, both analog and digital.
I’ll try and catch up with my reading list – also, steering clear of what I’m currently reading for research purposes.
This is going to be a vacation, after all – and the idea of just sit and read for a few hours on end is extremely attractive.
I’ll probably go for a big fat history book (I’ve few here waiting).
Or that old cowboy and dinosaurs book I’ve been saving for the right time.
Or maybe something completely different.

Drink tea

I still have a large stock of Lapsang Souchong tea I bought months back, plus some other exotic mixes – including a bag of fine Moroccan mint-scented tea and some Provence-flowers-scented Earl Grey.
Time to put the old teapot back in gear – the temperatures are dropping, and tea will help keep the cold at bay.
Also, I received an interesting box of cookies, as a Christmas present 1, and that’s exactly what the doctor ordered.

Scrawl a few plans

There’s a few things I’m planning for Karavansara, and I’ll take some leisure time to jot down notes about design, contents and stuff.
As of now, I’ve already implemented the Markdown function of WordPress, making my pages a little more sexy.
More stuff will come.

Also, I’ll have to take care of the cooking for the festive season – but that’s not part of the relaxing bit.
