I am very happy to announce that the long overdue second episode in the adventures of Leo Martin, aka The Corsair, will go on sale through Amazon on the 10th of August.
The novella, The Devil Under the Sea, that can be enjoyed as a standalone1, will be available both in DRM-free ebook format and as a paperback volume. Both the ebook and the paperback are being processed as you read this post, and will be ready for preorder in a few hours.

From the back cover:
And there, maybe fifty feet below, well beyond one hundred feet mark, on a thin spur of rock, a shadow metamorphosed under his eyes into something new, something unexpected. The sunlight sketched its supple shape, its long front roster, the stub of a tower. A cannon, half-buried in sand.
…
A submarine. It laid on the rock ledge, protected by the cliff against currents, half-buried in sand, the exposed steel skin covered in a thin layer of silt. It laid on its side, like a big beast resting in the heat of the midday. There were signs painted on the conning tower. A number, and the profile of a tentacled beast.
87. There was the number eighty-seven stamped on the side of the tower. And an octopus. And a black swastika.
Similar to the works of David Dodge and Leslie Charteris, Davide Mana’s The Corsair series moves along the same lines of an old television show called “The Persuaders”. Chock full of thrills and adventure, a drop of noir, and a little humor with a tough-as-nails hero that has all the savvy of a Travis McGee and suave demeanor of TV’s Lovejoy. He chats with the reader, outwits the bad guys, pulls in the beautiful ladies, and maybe makes a buck or two while he’s at it. All set in the 1950s Mediterranean.
- but you can still purchase the first adventure of the Corsair, Chasing the Mermaid, both as an ebook or a paperback. The episodes in the series can be enjoyed in any order anyway. ↩
